The site is currently undergoing major re-design work, with a complete change to the underlying technology being used to build the pages. For those interested - album details are now held as xml files with a single sitemap xml file bringing together menu navigation and album listings within bands.
The xml files are translated via xalan and an xslt file under the control of ant. Updated files are run through ant to produced timestamped html versions which are the uploaded to this site.
In the pipeline - dedicated print format pages. Though the detail pages print pretty well in their current state, you do get all the menu navigation as well. For catalogue purposes, it would be nice to hold just the relevant information in a high quality format. This is one of the main reasons that this site is using xml and open tools.
Just to mention - all site design is © Llifion Audio & Video, though I would like to acknowledge the inspiration of the open source community without whom none of this would have happened as the cost of commercial versions of various pieces of software would have been prohibitive.
